Biography
Kimberly Gilreath advises clients on a variety of federal and state tax issues in the areas of corporate, partnership, international, and individual income tax.
She specializes in transactional tax, and regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions and business restructurings. Kim provides tax and business advice on business formation and succession planning. She has experience in nonprofit formation and operational issues and also handles real estate tax matters.
Before joining Miles & Stockbridge, Kim was an associate with a Maryland law firm, where she focused on business law, taxation, estate planning and real estate. Previously, she served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Robert E. Cahill Jr. in Baltimore County Circuit Court.
Kim is an honors graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she was articles editor of the Maryland Law Review. As a rising 3L, she was awarded a Shumsky-Kronick Business Law Fellowship, serving as a summer fellow at a healthcare services company and assisting corporate counsel with regulatory compliance, facility acquisitions and litigation defense.
