Social Impact

At the end of the day, the story of Miles & Stockbridge is a human story—real people doing real things to make this firm, our communities and the world better, more inclusive places for all.

Pro Bono

The pro bono legal and philanthropic commitments of Miles & Stockbridge lawyers are extensive in their reach and effective in their impact.

Every lawyer in every office is encouraged to contribute his or her legal talents in ways that further the application of justice and enhance trust in the law and the legal system in our communities. We strongly encourage our lawyers and staff to contribute their time, talent and resources through voluntary organizations that enhance community life.

Community Service

Individually and collectively, the colleagues of Miles & Stockbridge bring the same passion and dedication we employ on behalf of our clients into our neighborhoods, serving the communities in which we practice. As part of our ongoing commitment to effect positive change, the firm focuses on partnerships that benefit the community, reflect the causes our colleagues support, and allow us to collaborate with clients and neighbors to deepen relationships.

The Women's Network of Miles & Stockbridge hosted a community service in support of Health Care for the Homeless. Attendees assembled Street Survival Kits — bags filled with essential items for neighbors in need — and added thoughtful handwritten notes in each kit.
As part of Miles & Stockbridge's Associates & Counsel Academy, attendees assembled weekend snack bags for the Baltimore Hunger Project, which provides food and resources to children facing food insecurity.
Lawyers in multiple offices crafted 15 "Blankets of Love" to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The blankets are gifted to every child upon checking into a Ronald McDonald House to provide warmth and comfort to families during challenging times.
Miles & Stockbridge lawyers, summer associates and non-attorney colleagues paired together with FreeState Justice for a name change and gender designation change training and clinic in the Baltimore office.
