Biography

Andrew W. Wahba is a patent attorney with over 20 years of experience in intellectual property law. His comprehensive practice encompasses patent prosecution, portfolio development, due diligence, licensing, negotiations, opinion work, counseling and litigation.

As an intellectual property strategist, Andrew develops tailored approaches that maximize the value of client patent portfolios, with expertise in software, electrical, computer, communication, semiconductor and display technologies. He guides both U.S. and international companies through complex intellectual property challenges, helping them implement effective global strategies, resolve disputes and enhance the value of their intellectual property assets.

Andrew has successfully negotiated dozens of intellectual property transactions and provides litigation counseling in courts throughout the U.S. He also advises on government-funded innovation and export/import regulations.

Before practicing law, Andrew served as a Patent Examiner (Class 370: Multiplex Communications) at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

He is a graduate of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and the University of Virginia, where he double-majored in systems engineering and electrical engineering, concentrating in communication systems and signal processing.
