In addition, new financing sources are emerging onto the scene and banks should begin to focus more on loan growth. Both of these facts combined with what is expected to be downward pressure on interest rates and a soft landing on the U.S. economy should bode well for a recovering M&A market. But the question remains, “When?”, with some headwinds still impacting the economy and valuations, including the current election cycle, regulatory and trade issues, and numerous geopolitical concerns.
