As chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, Anirban Basu provides strategic analytical services to a wide range of clients, including energy suppliers, law firms, medical systems, government agencies, and real estate developers among others.

From 2014 to 2021, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed Anirban to serve as the chair of the Maryland Economic Development Commission. Currently, he serves as chairman of the Baltimore County Economic Advisory Committee. He also serves the chief economist function for many organizations, including the Maryland Bankers Association and Associated Builders and Contractors.
