Zachary Haugen represents businesses and individuals in immigration proceedings before the Departments of Homeland Security, Labor and State, as well as other government agencies.
He strategizes with employers across industries — from medicine and higher education to manufacturing and information technology — regarding U.S. immigration options to hire and retain international talent. Zachary has extensive experience preparing employment-based visa petitions and applications, including immigrant (PERM labor certification, multinational manager, extraordinary ability, outstanding researcher, National Interest Waiver and more) and nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, O-1, and more) cases. He also advises companies on immigration-related compliance and worksite enforcement actions.
Previously, Zachary served as a consular officer with the Department of State. He adjudicated thousands of nonimmigrant visa applications and provided routine and emergency consular services to U.S. citizens, including citizenship and passport cases.
