Laura Melia and Jeremy Scholtes, lawyers in the firm's Frederick office, gave a presentation to members of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce titled "Honey, I've Got a Great Idea." They spoke about the mechanics of turning ideas in businesses from the inception of a business and through its peaks and valleys—all the way to transition and succession planning, winding down or sale of the entity and retirement of the principals.

This was the first in a series of four talks they will give. Upcoming seminars will focus on the benefits and complications of being an employer; advanced considerations for business growth; and transition, sale or winding down on your own terms.
