Biography
Estelle Louisignau represents businesses in a variety of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and other general corporate matters, partnering with clients to achieve their business and legal objectives.
Estelle focuses her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (both buyers and sellers), drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, entity formation, shareholder and operating agreements, securities compliance, as well as corporate governance. She enjoys getting to know the people behind the companies and organizations she represents and finds that doing so enables her to deliver results based on the particular needs of each client. She prides herself on giving practical, business-minded advice and has advised clients on transactions spanning a number of different industries, including government contracting, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and real estate.
Estelle graduated with high honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was a staff member on the North Carolina Law Review, a student attorney with the Startup NC Law Clinic representing local startup businesses, and served as president of the Construction & Real Estate Law Association.
During law school, Estelle interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and EnPro Industries, Inc. At the SEC, she worked in the Chief Counsel’s Office for the Division of Investment Management, which regulates investment companies and investment advisers. At EnPro, her work included, drafting commercial contracts, conducting due diligence, and advising the business on internal legal matters.
