We Will Not Stand Silent Anymore

In observance of Asian-American and Pacific Islander History Month, the Miles & Stockbridge Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee is honored to welcome distinguished guest speakers First Lady of Maryland, Yumi Hogan, and her daughter, Jaymi Sterling, Esq.

First Lady Hogan is the first Korean-American First Lady in the United States. A first-generation Korean-American, she is also an accomplished artist and serves as an adjunct professor at Maryland Institute College of Art.

Jaymi Sterling serves as the Assistant State's Attorney at the Office of the State's Attorney for Anne Arundel County. Ms. Sterling is a veteran prosecutor with over a decade of experience. She received her juris doctor from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in political science.

As our communities continue to see a rise in Asian-American and Pacific Islander hate crimes, we hope you will join us for this timely and important conversation.
