Biography

John H. Murray is a lawyer in the Easton office. John served as the firm's President and Chief Operating Officer between 2001 and 2014.

John defended civil rights and employment claims as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  He has extensive experience in drafting and counseling employers regarding personnel policies and employment agreements and defending discrimination claims.

His health care practice has involved the general representation of hospitals and other health care providers in connection with a wide range of matters, including contracts, purchase and sale agreements, leasing, tax-exempt issues, regulatory matters, operations, mergers, governance and organizational structuring and planning matters.

John's land use practice includes zoning, annexation, critical areas, contracting for the purchase, sale and development of real estate, drafting community covenants and restrictions and establishing and advising homeowners' associations.
