Effective May 16, 2019, Montgomery County imposes new home builder registration and warranty requirements. The amendments to this law follow multiple customer complaints against a single new home builder that caught the attention of the Montgomery County Council. Subsequently, Montgomery County enacted on February 5, 2019, Bill 31-18, New Home Warranty Builder Licensing - Amendments, heightening its new home builder registration and warranty requirements.
