Biography
Scott C. Wallace represents commercial, industrial and residential builders, landowners and institutions in their most important development, land use and zoning projects.
Scott is a principal in Miles & Stockbridge’s Land Use Practice Group and the firm’s North Bethesda, Maryland office. He brings a comprehensive knowledge of state, county and city land use and zoning laws to his work and helps clients navigate their office, retail, mixed-use and residential projects through the various approval procedures—planning and design, application preparation and approval and post-approval requirements.
He works extensively with government entities in Maryland’s Montgomery County and the municipalities of Rockville and Gaithersburg. He also advocates for clients before state and local administrative, judicial and legislative bodies in matters related to land use, entitlements, zoning, and permitting.
He previously served as associate general counsel for the Montgomery County Planning Board of the nationally recognized Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Scott brings this unique experience to bear on his work with clients and the positive impact of their projects. Earlier in his career, he served as a judicial clerk for the State of Connecticut Superior Court.
