Represented a residential homebuyer in Montgomery County, Maryland, obtaining compensatory damages and attorneys' fees against the sellers who failed to disclose a known rodent infestation.

Represented Same-Sex Couple Harassed by Neighbors

Represented a same-sex couple in the Frederick County (Maryland) Circuit in obtaining a preliminary injunction and a judgment for $100,000 against neighbors who engaged in a year-long campaign of harassment after the couple began constructing their home on the property. Compelled a resolution where the harassing neighbors agreed to sell their property to our clients.

Defended National Restaurant Franchisor in Customer Lawsuit

Defended a national restaurant franchisor in a Maryland circuit court lawsuit filed by a customer alleging the franchisor was vicariously liable for an in-store altercation tied to drive-through operating procedures. Prior to answering the complaint or conducting any discovery, the court granted summary judgment for the franchisor in a thorough bench ruling that has already supported voluntary dismissals in related cases.

Trial Victory Involving Sale of Rodent-Infested House

Represented a homebuyer in recovering compensatory damages and attorneys' fees in litigation against sellers who concealed a significant rodent infestation during the property transaction. Success at trial required overcoming the burden of proving the sellers' actual knowledge of material defects, which was accomplished through key testimony from a former tenant who had reported the infestation to the sellers prior to the sale.

Represented Manufacturer in Lengthy Mesothelioma Litigation Case

Represented Colgate-Palmolive Company in a case alleging the plaintiff developed mesothelioma from using a talcum powder product manufactured by Colgate.  After several years of litigation, we obtained an Order from the Court excluding plaintiff’s proffered expert on product testing/contamination, human tissue fiber burden and specific causation on Daubert grounds.
