Marian Hwang, Amanda Kesler and Van Hilderbrand, lawyers in the firm's Environment & Energy practice group, presented a web seminar for the National Association for Environmental Management titled "Tailwinds at the EPA - The First 300 Days: New Directions for EPA Programs and Policies."

Program Description:

The EPA and corporate EHS leaders are unsure what the future holds based on the U.S. President-elect's positions on environmental/sustainability issues and what impact the new administration will have on EPA policies and regulations.

This program will help attendees understand and plan for future potential directions of EPA programs and policies.

This webinar will assess key changes in EPA's programs and enforcement initiatives, such as:

  • EPA's Waters of the U.S. rule
  • Status of Climate Action Plan, Clean Power Plan and Paris Agreement
  • Other issues relevant to NAEM members, such as EPA's retailer hazardous waste strategy, Clean Air Act's Risk Management Program, vehicle GHG standards, and HFC refrigerant rules.
