The Krooth & Altman Team at Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that the law firm’s Environmental Team has been approved by Fannie Mae to conduct Environmental Indemnity Agreement (EIA) modifications and reviews for client transactions involving RECs, CRECs and HRECs (if applicable). Being able to handle the financing and environmental review under one roof will bring greater efficiency and resources to the modification and review process.

If we are your lender’s counsel and an environmental matter surfaces, you now have access to our deeply experienced Environmental Team for your environmental review going forward.

Amanda Neidert Kesler, a member of the Environmental Team at Miles & Stockbridge, is adept at helping clients understand and limit their environmental risks, maneuver through compliance challenges, and achieve their business goals. She brings 20 years of experience in helping clients navigate complex environmental issues in transactional, regulatory compliance, permitting and litigation matters. She regularly counsels clients on environmental liability allocation and risk reduction in commercial financing, real estate and corporate transactional matters and provides guidance on due diligence, contractual language, permit transfers, brownfields remediation and voluntary cleanup.

Amanda also represents clients in Superfund cost recovery and contribution matters and advises clients on regulatory compliance and permitting issues involving various environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act; the Clean Air Act; Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA); Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA); and related state statutes.

Please let the attorney on your deal know if you would like an introduction or to request Amanda. She has already been introduced to Fannie Mae’s in-house counsel and business team and is ready to help.
