Biography

Amy Cooperstein counsels healthcare clients on a variety of corporate and regulatory matters.

She has structured and negotiated transactions from term sheets to closing, including asset and stock purchases and mergers and acquisitions. She also has represented healthcare entities regarding operating agreements, bylaws and physician compensation agreements, among other contract and governance needs.

Amy regularly provides advice on compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark and has assisted clients facing government investigations led by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency and Food and Drug Administration. Her regulatory work also includes advising health insurers on the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA).

Prior to earning her law degree, Amy earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
