Program Description:
This program will review proposed Treasury Department rules due to take effect in February 2020. Those rules, which may be final by the time of the program, will require more intense scrutiny of transactions providing possible foreign party access to critical technology, personally identifiable information (PII), key infrastructure and real estate close to military installations. Increased diligence will be needed of many more transactions than is popularly understood, including many transactions that will not provide the purchaser (or partner) control of another entity, only potential foreign access to PII, key technology and critical infrastructure.
The Tysons office of Miles & Stockbridge will be hosting a monthly breakfast briefing series to enable clients and friends of the firm to better remain abreast of trends and developments in a variety of areas of law and business.
We will be posting updates and announcements regarding this wide ranging series to this page. If you would like to receive notices regarding this event series, subscribe here.
We invite you to provide input for future briefings as to the topics that you would find most interesting for you and your business. Please complete this brief survey.
