Biography
A U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and co-leader of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Josh Gayfield brings an extraordinary level of commitment and dedication to representing clients in a broad array of disputes. His litigation and trial experience, coupled with a pragmatic approach, helps him find efficient solutions to complex problems.
Josh regularly represents businesses, charities and individuals in complex contract and corporate law disputes, business torts (including civil RICO, fraud and misrepresentation claims), intellectual property disputes, trade secret misappropriation, professional negligence/malpractice, manufacturing defects and actions for emergency injunctive relief.
For manufacturers, developers, engineers and other business owners he also litigates claims involving sale of goods, breach of warranties, construction and environmental disputes and Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Josh practices regularly in Maryland's state, federal, and appellate courts, as well as in state administrative proceedings and arbitration panels in multiple jurisdictions. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has secured appellate, arbitration and administrative hearing victories for his clients.
