Veronica Jackson has built a practice in employment law and data privacy and mentors other lawyers in our firm as chair of the Miles Minority Network. This year, she was recognized with our Pro Bono Advocate Award for her service to nonprofit and social justice organizations across Maryland.

“As a child, I never considered the possibility that I might face barriers to becoming a lawyer because I am a woman, or even because I am a Black woman,” Jackson says. “But barriers do exist.”

She also shared how Marian Wright Edelman’s statement “It’s hard to be what you can’t see” grounds her own view on why representation matters.
