On November 28, 2014, Ray Rice, former running back for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League, won his appeal of his indefinite suspension from the NFL and was reinstated to the NFL by former United States District Court judge, Barbara Jones, who heard Rice’s appeal and wrote the opinion in the case.
