“I have been fortunate to have female colleagues over the years and to have mentored and been mentored in those relationships. When I first joined the firm in 1997, there were not many women who were partners, so it has always been important to me to mentor women inside and outside my practice group.”

Congratulations to M&S employment lawyer and board member Suzzanne Decker on being named among Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record. This is the second time she has received this award.

Suzzanne is a principal who represents businesses in all aspects of employer-employee relations. She led the firm’s Labor, Employment, Benefits and Immigrations Practice Group for seven years. She has served on the Miles & Stockbridge Board of Directors for the last six years and was re-elected to her third term in February. Among her many responsibilities as a board member, she is co-leading the firm’s Recruiting Team and Growth Committee. Earlier in her career, she helped found the firm’s Women’s Network and the annual Women’s Symposium, both which continue strong today.

She is a graduate of The Leadership, an experiential leadership development program in Baltimore, and is an officer on the Board of Directors for the B&O Railroad Museum.
