As shelter at home orders are lifted, businesses should be considering how they will safeguard employees upon their return, and inform employees of such safeguards when invited back to work.

In deciding how to protect employees upon their return, management’s first step should be to consult current OSHA and Centers for Disease Control guidelines, which have been updated almost daily since March. Employers should also consult OSHA’s Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for Covid-19 and the federal government’s Guideline for Opening Up America Again for suggestions on how to protect employees and safely resume operations.
