Biography
Robin Silver has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in various state and federal courts and administrative hearings as a trial and appellate advocate.
Robin Silver's litigation practice includes personal injury, products liability and insurance defense, including contract and coverage issues, education law, mass torts and complex and multi-district litigation.
She defends lawsuits throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia in Trial and Appellate Courts and also represents her clients on local and national levels, with experience in Federal and State Courts. Robin is responsible for the Washington, D.C. asbestos toxic tort litigation for numerous clients as well as acting as liaison between defense counsel and the Court on asbestos complex litigation matters. She prides herself on her tenacious investigative skills, which often times lead to successful resolutions through dispositive motions or early and favorable settlements.
Robin also has an extensive practice in the area of premises liability and represented one of the largest retailer in the state.
Expanding in her background in special education, Robin has vast experience in matters involving special education law, handling cases under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and counseling school systems through the dispute resolution process, mediations, due process hearings and judicial appeals. She regularly attends IEP meetings.
Robin has substantial experience in coordinating the use of expert witnesses on a wide range of subject matters. She has examined and cross-examined experts in countless depositions and trials. She plays a key role on trial teams, leading pre-trial and trial strategies, and is especially skilled in settlement negotiations.
Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge, Robin was a shareholder at the firm of Church Loker, & Silver, P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland.
