Biography
Anne Rollins represents clients in a broad range of real estate matters, including land use, planning and zoning, and real estate tax assessment appeals, as well as in general business and commercial matters.
She is experienced in administrative law and appeals and has represented various municipalities. In addition, she also acts as general counsel for several nonprofit organizations.
A longtime member of the Rotary Club of Frederick, she served on its board of directors as president for the 2018-2019 membership year. Anne has been a trustee of the YMCA of Frederick County since 2002, following eight years as a director for the organization. She formerly chaired the boards of Frederick Memorial Hospital, the Frederick Regional Health System and Trivergent Health Alliance.
Anne has been honored several times for her accomplishments as a lawyer and her service to the legal profession. In 2013, The Daily Record recognized her with its Leadership in Law award. The Bar Association of Frederick County presented her with the James McSherry Memorial Award in 2008 for outstanding service to the bar and with the W. Jerome Offutt Award in 2007, which recognizes a local lawyer for the advancement of professionalism and civility in the practice of law.
Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge, Anne was the deputy city attorney for the City of Frederick, following a four-year stint as an associate with Miller, Miller & Canby. She began her career as a judicial clerk to the late Honorable William W. Wenner of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland (now the Appellate Court of Maryland).
