Miles & Stockbridge Appoints New Managing Principals in Frederick and Rockville Offices
Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of three new managing principals in the law firm’s Frederick and Rockville, Maryland, offices. Bradford S. Bernstein is the new managing principal in Rockville and Jeremy S. Scholtes and Kendall A. Camuti are new co-managing principals in Frederick.

Bernstein now leads a team of 18 lawyers in Rockville, who help clients navigate the critical issues related to commercial and business litigation, family law matters, land use and zoning, real estate, and government contracts.
Scholtes and Camuti lead a team of 10 lawyers in Frederick, who represent clients in the full scope of business matters and disputes with a focus on helping clients in government contracting, real estate, construction and manufacturing. They also counsel individuals and businesses on estate planning.
About Brad Bernstein
Bernstein is a seasoned litigator who has represented individuals and businesses of all sizes throughout his 23 years with the firm with a focus on helping clients navigate business and real estate matters across the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia and the mid-Atlantic region.
A lifelong Montgomery County resident, Bernstein previously served as the President of the Montgomery County Inns of Court and Chair of the Judicial Selections Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association. He is on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Bar Foundation and, for the past 17 years, he has been the Chair of the Montgomery County High School Mock Trial Competition.
About Jeremy Scholtes
Scholtes represents and serves as outside general counsel to numerous companies, primarily in the construction, technology and manufacturing industries, many of which are also government contractors. His hybrid practice includes regulatory counseling and compliance in state and federal government contracting, and litigating bid protests, claims, contractor disputes, and false claims act cases.
He had a notable career with the United States Army, first as an infantry officer and then as a Judge Advocate General officer. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel and serves as an Adjunct Professor at The Judge Advocate General Legal Center and School in the National Security Department in Charlottesville, Virginia.
A graduate of Leadership Frederick County and Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) Leadership Academy, he currently serves on the Business Development Committee of the Downtown Frederick Partnership, the Advisory Board for the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc., and the Construction Law Section Council of the MSBA. He is a past recipient of the firm’s Pro Bono Advocate Award for his work with Platoon 22, a Frederick-based nonprofit organization focused on ending veteran suicide.
About Kendall Camuti
Camuti counsels clients on a wide range of sophisticated corporate and business matters, including general corporate matters, real estate sales and development transactions, commercial leasing, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning.
He also has significant experience representing special servicers in connection with commercial mortgage-backed securities, as well as debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, and bankruptcy trustees, in a variety of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, both in and out of bankruptcy.
He serves on the Board of Directors for Advocates for Homeless Families and for United Way of Frederick County. He also is a member of the Real Property Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association.
