Women's Network

More than a decade ago, a group of women lawyers at Miles & Stockbridge created the Women’s Network of Miles & Stockbridge to promote leadership development and mentoring and to bring them and professionals together for meaningful opportunities.

The group is led by Holly Drumheller Butler, a principal and co-leader of the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Practice Group and Tyler Duckett-Oliver, an associate in our Labor, Employment, Benefits & Immigration Practice Group.

All of our affinity groups are open to everyone – regardless of background or identity. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all are welcome to engage in meaningful conversations and initiatives that promote the firm’s commitment to equal opportunity in our community.

Women’s Network Hosts Summer ‘Sip and Paint’:

The Miles Women’s Network was thrilled to welcome back Baltimore-based muralist and teaching artist Reginald Lewis, owner of Insanely Dope Designs, for an evening of creativity and connection at a “Sip and Paint” event July 23, 2025. Specializing in paintings, murals, and public artwork, Reginald's work is featured in prominent institutions such as the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, part of the Smithsonian, and the Maryland State House.

The mural began as a commemorative cup design for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), which holds its men’s and women’s college basketball conference tournaments in Baltimore. The artwork, which evolved into a larger public piece, highlights a hibiscus flower – a vibrant cultural symbol of legacy, beauty and resilience. Reginald was kind enough to bring and display the original piece that inspired the evening’s activity, giving attendees a deeper connection to the creative process.

2025 Women's Symposium: More than 200 women attended our annual Women's Symposium in March at The Center Club in Baltimore. In celebration of Women's History Month and this year's theme of “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Generations," guests were treated to a special conversation with Dean LaVonda Reed of the University of Baltimore School of Law and Dean Renée Hutchins Laurent of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

'Blankets of Love' for Ronald McDonald House: The Women’s Network held its end-of-the-year service project this week in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Lawyers in Baltimore, Washington, Rockville and Richmond crafted 15 "Blankets of Love,” which are gifted to every child upon checking into a Ronald McDonald House to provide warmth and comfort to families during challenging times.

2024 Women's Symposium: Nearly 150 people filled The Center Club in Baltimore on Feb. 29 for Miles & Stockbridge’s 20th Annual Women’s Symposium. Attendees enjoyed a reception and networking before and after hearing from the featured speaker, Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman.

Holly Drumheller Butler, leader of the firm’s Women Network, also presented Kathie Pontone with a plaque thanking Kathie for her longstanding contributions to and support of women at the firm. Kathie is credited with starting the Women’s Symposium back in 2004.
