Join Miles & Stockbridge and Legal Services of Northern Virginia for an evening charity golf tournament at Topgolf Loudoun on July 12. The event will feature 2.0 hours of Ethics CLE, great food and drink, prizes, and networking opportunities with local professionals. All skill levels are welcome! Golf Pro Yong Joo will be at the event to provide informal lessons and tips to participants or you can participate in a “challenge the pro” contest.

CONFIDENTIALITY:  PART V (CLIENTS' PAST AND ONGOING MISCONDUCT)

This interactive program uses hypotheticals to explore lawyers’ confidentiality and disclosure duties in the context of clients’ past or ongoing misconduct.  Among other things, the program will address:  lawyers’ possible duty to disclose clients’ past fraud on tribunals, or past misconduct in non-corporate and corporate settings; distinguishing between past and ongoing client misconduct (including fugitive clients); client crimes’ fruits and instrumentalities; lawyers’ silence which causes victim families’ anguish, or allows a wrongly convicted person to remain incarcerated.
