Biography

Frederick Griffin represents mortgage lenders in several types of commercial real estate financing transactions, with an emphasis on the Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac multifamily programs.

Frederick has experience in affordable housing transactions, including 4% and 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), ground lease, tax-exempt bond (M.TEB), tax-exempt loan, multi-layer subordinate debt, Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contract-assisted properties and other programs. He also assists lenders involved in short-term, bridge loan transactions as well as forward commitment loan products.

Frederick has experience with Tax Increment Financing (TIF), Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) and other tax incentive programs available to both conventional and affordable multifamily property owners throughout the country.
