Miles & Stockbridge, an Am Law 200 firm with more than 200 lawyers and offices in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and New York, is pleased to announce that veteran litigator Stewart R. Pollock has joined the firm’s Richmond office. His addition expands the firm's litigation platform in Virginia and reflects its continued investment in helping clients navigate increasingly complex commercial, real estate and construction disputes across one of the Mid-Atlantic's fastest-growing business markets.

Pollock represents businesses, developers, contractors, property owners, individuals and government entities in complex litigation nationwide. His practice focuses on commercial, real estate, construction and product liability matters, with an emphasis on helping clients resolve disputes efficiently while protecting their long-term business objectives.

"Virginia continues to experience significant business and real estate investment, creating new opportunities — and increasingly complex legal challenges — for our clients," said Joshua Gayfield, co-leader of Miles & Stockbridge's Litigation Practice Group. "Stew is an accomplished trial lawyer who combines strong courtroom advocacy with practical business judgment. His experience strengthens our ability to help clients anticipate risk, resolve disputes efficiently and pursue their strategic objectives throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic."

He joins Miles & Stockbridge from Moran Reeves Conn, where he was a partner.

Pollock regularly represents buyers, sellers, developers, brokers and real estate professionals in disputes arising from commercial and residential transactions, including pre- and post-closing claims. He also advises general contractors, subcontractors, property owners and property management companies on matters ranging from contract and payment disputes to high-value commercial construction and renovation litigation. Clients rely on him for early case assessment, practical litigation strategies and effective advocacy in matters where business and legal risks intersect.

"Miles & Stockbridge has built a reputation for delivering sophisticated legal counsel backed by deep industry knowledge and a highly collaborative culture," Pollock said. "Joining the firm enables me to offer clients broader capabilities across litigation, regulatory, corporate and real estate matters while continuing to provide the practical, business-focused advice they value. I'm excited to help clients solve complex challenges and capitalize on new opportunities as they grow."

Pollock is the sixth lawyer to join the firm's Richmond office over the past year, continuing Miles & Stockbridge's strategic investment in Virginia. The firm's continued growth reflects increasing client demand for sophisticated legal counsel in one of the region's most dynamic business markets and reinforces its commitment to providing clients with deep local relationships backed by the resources of a full-service regional platform.

"Richmond has become an increasingly important market for many of our clients, and we're continuing to invest accordingly," said John Badman IV, managing principal of the Richmond office. "Stew is highly regarded for his litigation experience, client service and collaborative approach. His addition deepens our bench in several key industries and further enhances our ability to serve businesses throughout Central Virginia and across the region."
