Biography
Tessa Frederick leads the firm's representation of financial institutions in the review, processing and response to writs of garnishment served on several major financial institutions in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
As head of the garnishment department, she routinely advises clients regarding various garnishment and collections matters including assisting clients with maintaining their internal and external compliance obligations to minimize liability and litigation risks.
Tessa’s practice also covers a wide range of commercial and business litigation matters, including business and contract disputes and the litigation of claims arising from banking and lending transactions.
She is experienced in representing parties to business disputes concerning breaches of fiduciary duty and fraud in corporate governance, ownership of real property and related property rights, breaches of contract and business torts.
Tessa also is experienced in the collection and enforcement of significant outstanding commercial debts. Her 27 years of experience involves extensive trial work at the state and federal level, as well as in the appellate courts.
