This Pride Month, we are pleased to highlight Jennifer Caggino, a public finance associate in Baltimore. Jennifer, who is a member of the firm’s LGBTQIA+ Alliance, explains what “being an ally” means to her:

"Being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community means showing up for the community when it counts. When I say, ‘showing up,’ I mean attending events, donating time or money to supporting organizations, and publicly showing support and solidarity on issues that matter to the community. 

"Before joining the firm’s LGBTQIA+ Alliance, I wouldn’t have called myself an ally because I never involved myself in matters concerning the LGBTQIA+ community. As a minority female, a lot of my beliefs and politics align with the community, but I had no reason to engage. Now, I am actively looking to support and engage with the community at a time when it’s truly needed."
