Congratulations to our newest counsel: Kristin N. Burtzlaff, Brandon J. Cuffy, Leslie M. Cumber, Christina Kane, Nicole J. Maerder, Christopher F. Sennett, Sonia Shaikh and Nicole K. Whitecar.
Kristin N. Burtzlaff (Corporate) assists with mergers and acquisitions, private capital market transactions, entity structuring and formation and general corporate law. She counsels clients across a variety of industries, including government contracting, private equity, manufacturing and real estate.
Brandon J. Cuffy (Corporate) focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, strategic financial transactions and general corporate law. He has significant experience counseling middle-market private equity sponsors and senior company management on a range of transactional, operational and corporate governance matters.
Leslie M. Cumber (Corporate – Health Care) advises hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory care facilities, post-acute care providers and various other health care industry service providers and businesses. Her regulatory and compliance practice focuses on federal and state fraud and abuse compliance, health information privacy issues, licensure and reimbursement issues, among other matters.
Christina Kane (Real Estate & Transactional Finance) represents mortgage lenders in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions, including construction, refinancing and permanent financing loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration, with an emphasis on multifamily and health care projects. She previously assisted borrowers and developers in FHA-insured transactions.
Nicole J. Maerder (Real Estate & Transactional Finance) represents mortgage lenders in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions, including construction, refinancing and permanent financing, with a focus on multifamily and health care loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration.
Christopher F. Sennett (Real Estate & Transactional Finance) represents issuers, lenders, borrowers, underwriters and other parties in all types of public finance transactions. He focuses on tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions for commercial and investment banks, political subdivisions, economic development agencies, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, corporate trustees and bond purchasers.
Sonia Shaikh (Corporate – Tax) counsels clients on a variety of federal, state and local tax matters. She specializes in related business planning and controversy work and has experience in the formation and expansion of tax-exempt entities and other tax-efficient business structures.
Nicole K. Whitecar (Corporate) provides general corporate law advice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. She represents business entities in transactional matters, ranging from entity formation to the sale or acquisition of a business, as well as in general business and corporate law matters.
