Miles & Stockbridge Elects Glenn Gordon, Elisabeth Hall, Megan McGinnis, Zachary Schultz and Kenneth Stout as Principals and Announces Other Promotions

Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that lawyers Glenn A. Gordon, Elisabeth K. Hall, Megan J. McGinnis, Zachary S. Schultz and Kenneth T. Stout have been elected principals of the law firm.
Five lawyers were also promoted from associate to counsel: Roger V. Abbott, Joshua R. Chazen, Emily K. Devan, Brian G. Filler and Zachary A. Haugen.
The new class of principals combines their legal knowledge with modern industry insights to deliver client-focused solutions in the following areas:
- Tort and insurance-related actions, consumer class actions, product safety matters and private and commercial contract disputes
- All aspects of labor and employment law, as well as public accommodation and housing law
- Disputes over corporate governance and management, advertising, real estate and intellectual property
- Middle market mergers and acquisitions (both buyers and sellers), shareholder and operating agreements, formation and structural issues, restructurings, equity incentive programs, reorganizations and equity and debt financings
- All aspects of construction law, including drafting and negotiating contracts, subcontracts and related agreements and evaluating payment claims and defenses

Glenn A. Gordon (Baltimore office) represents clients in various types of litigation and arbitration, investigations and regulatory proceedings. Gordon litigates tort and insurance-related actions, consumer class actions and private and commercial contract disputes in state and federal court proceedings across the country as well as in international arbitration. He also counsels clients in connection with governmental investigations and regulatory proceedings, including several matters before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Additionally, Gordon helps clients draft company policies and procedures and contractual agreements relating to indemnity and insurance coverage issues.
Elisabeth K. Hall (Baltimore office) advises and represents businesses in all aspects of labor and employment law. She litigates labor and employment disputes in state and federal courts and administrative forums throughout the country, including cases involving wage and hour issues, alleged discrimination and harassment and claims related to family medical leave and failure to provide reasonable accommodation. Hall counsels employers locally and nationally on a variety of day-to-day employment law matters such as avoidance and investigation of claims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation, Family Medical Leave and Americans with Disabilities Act issues, Fair Labor Standards Act and other wage payment claims, non-competition and severance agreements and issues related to the hiring and firing of employees.
Megan J. McGinnis (Baltimore office) has a broad complex commercial litigation practice, working on cases related to disputes over corporate governance and management, advertising, real estate and intellectual property. McGinnis has represented businesses and individuals in federal and state courts involving misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, fraud, corporate and partnership breakups, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial contract disputes and other business torts.
Zachary S. Schultz (Baltimore office) has a diverse general corporate practice. A majority of Schultz’s practice focuses on representing companies in connection with middle market mergers and acquisitions (both buyers and sellers). Schultz also regularly counsels clients on a host of important matters that arise during the business lifecycle, including shareholder and operating agreements, formation and structural issues, restructurings, equity incentive plans, reorganizations and equity and debt financings, as well as corporate governance matters. He serves a wide array of clients at every phase of the business lifecycle and across myriad industries, with a particular emphasis on government contractors and manufacturing clients.
Kenneth T. Stout (Richmond office) combines general commercial litigation with a strategic focus on the construction industry. Stout has advised clients on drafting and negotiating contracts, subcontracts and related agreements; assisted with the evaluation of payment claims and defenses; managed numerous mechanic’s lien filings in Virginia; and managed discovery, e-discovery and pretrial motions on complex construction litigation matters.
